monastery ostrog tour

It was St. Vasily of Ostrog who emerged in the 17th century. Today, his relics are laid there. People tend to go from lower to upper one by foot, which is seen as some kind of pilgrimage.

There are many legends spoken of this sacral place. Most of them are related to spiritual wonders and healing. Either way, the entire site offers an opportunity for introspection and search for inner peace.

After spiritual experince, we head back down to Podgorica and the best it has to give. A few kilometers out of town there is a natural wonder that we call Niagara falls. It is nothing close to the original, but it is somewhat of a smaller substitute.

This is the place where the River "pipe" has nowhere else to go, but the deeps and spectacles for the public are created. Beautiful waterfall and humming water will take you closer to being one with nature.

tours from podgorica

The very sight once served as a mill and now there is a small replica to remind of the old days. Today is a weekend retreat for families.

Note: Sometimes during the summer, the waterfalls dry up, so we offer our guests the opportunity to visit the monastery Zdrebaonik and Cuk camp for a break/coffee. The camp is in the rustic ambient, with some homemade products, food, juices and liquors, in the middel of the forest... This is also posible to book like a original itinerary.

Note: A visit to the monastery requires clothing that covers the shoulders and knees for all visitors.

Note: All written tours are just our proposal, so please feel free to create your own tour. We will be happy to assist you.
